SOME OF THE AMAZING PEOPLE THAT HAVE RAISED FUNDS FOR KDCS AND HOW THEY DID IT.

Hi, My Names Joe, I am doing a sponsored Bicycle ride to raise money for Charity. I am cycling from London to Rome which is approx 1200 miles. Follow me on my journey as i embark on theis epic bike ride across south England, France and Italy.

I am raising money for The Kent Deaf Children's Society.  My Nephew Charlie (in the pic with me) has been such a huge driving force in me doing this cycle ride. He was born profoundly deaf and uses British Sign Language.  He is a real Character and Inspiration to me. Charlie and many other deaf children have to face obstacles everyday, it can be a real struggle sometimes for deaf children to integrate into clubs, activities and general society.

The Kent Deaf Children's Society is a self funded, not for profit, volunteer driven registered charity.  KDCS provides deaf children and their families support and advice.  KDCS also organise a lot of activities and clubs for deaf and hard of hearing children, these often have specialists and sign language interpreters which enable the deaf children to have fully inclusive experience.

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to charities. Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity's behalf where the donor is eligible for this. I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.

PLEASE SPONSOR ME.. HERE

I am Hamish Jack, and I am a Trustee of the Kent Deaf Children’s Society (KDCS).  April 2015, I ran the London Marathon to raise funds for the charity.

My daughter Catherine is deaf, which is how my association with KDCS came about. Catherine has never let deafness prevent her doing anything she has wanted to do, and is now studying Engineering at Coventry. She is a great inspiration to my family and we are very proud of her.

I wanted to give something back to this great charity and so in a moment of madness I agreed to run the London Marathon.

Many thanks in for all your support and donations Hamish Jack Treasurer

We had another brave KDCS member, Martin Henley, who put mind, body and spirit on the line to raise funds for his favourite charity, KDCS.  As a self-funded, volunteer driven organisation, this outstanding generosity and support from our KDCS members enables us to continue the work we do supporting deaf children within Kent & Medway.

Congratulations and WELL DONE to Martin who successfully completed the Hever Castle Triathlon on Saturday 28th.    Martin is another one of our MEMBERS who has been bitten by the fundraising bug, to date he has raised £317.50!! (incl Gift Aid) and all the proceeds go to KDCS!

A BIG THANK YOU from the CHILDREN, MEMBERS and TRUSTEES of KDCS

These funds will enable us to continue supporting the DEAF CHILDREN OF KENT.

An afternoon of fun, sun and

delicious food and fundraising for

The Kent Deaf Children’s Society

With an authentic Greek barbeque, refreshments, bouncy castle, garden games and entertainment, this was a great day out for all the family. And, most importantly, a chance for us to raise funds for deaf children in Kent.
And because the barbeque was funded by the Vasiliou family, every penny you donated went straight to The Kent Deaf Children’s Society.
